Meet George and Piper! George is a devoted three-year-old Great Pyrenees/Saint Bernard mix andPiper is a joyful two-year-old Pharaoh Hound/American Pitbull Terriermix, both currently in Hickory, NC. Together, they are a heartwarmingstudy in contrast and connection. George with his quiet strength andsoulful gaze, and Piper with her spark, resilience, and endlessaffection! George's presence is as steady and soulful as the mountains thatsurround him. With a striking tricolor coat and a towering yet gentlestature at 112 pounds, George is a beautiful blend of loyalty, intelligence, and quiet strength. Though his early life was harsh andlonely, George has spent the last 15 months with a foster family whohelped him rediscover what it means to be safe, loved, and understood. He's not a dog who demands constant cuddles. He's the type who'llquietly lay at your feet while you're cooking dinner, or settle besideyou on the floor as you unwind with a movie. His affection is deep, andwhen he chooses to show it, it's a moment you won't forget! And then there's Piper, the sunshine in George's sky! At just 31pounds, Piper is compact but full of life, with a sleek brown coat, white chest, and eyes that gleam with curiosity. Once neglected she nowradiates joy, trust, and boundless energy. She loves people, delights inplay, and excels at cuddling close! Her favorite games include keep-awaywith toys, and she greets familiar faces with an infectious mix ofwiggles, hugs, and tail wags. Piper is house-trained, crate-trained, andknows sit, down, and stay. While she thrives with activity, she's alsocontent to snooze beside her favorite person or pup. George is house-trained, leash-savvy, and knows several commands likesit, down, shake, easy, and stay. He thrives on predictability andresponds beautifully to gentle guidance and clear routines. He enjoyshuman companionship but also values having his own space. He's the kindof dog who builds bonds slowly, and once you're in his circle, you'rethere for life! Piper, on the other hand, is the social butterfly of the duo. She'sfriendly to strangers, wonderful with children, and very good with otherdogs. Her love for George is clear in how she encourages him to play, rest, and trust. Though she may need slow introductions with cats orsmall animals, her gentle spirit suggests she'll learn with patience andcare. Like many pups, she's sensitive to loud sounds like fireworks andthunder, and will appreciate a cozy retreat when things get noisy. Because of his sensitive nature and past experiences, George is mostcompatible with a calm, structured environment and a guardian whounderstands that trust isn't instant, it's built over time. He's notsuited to apartments or small condos; he needs room to roam, think, andfeel secure. Awell-meaning visitor moved too quickly into his space and repeatedlypatted his head, a sensitive area for George due to past trauma. In aseparate instance, George snapped (without making contact) when a newperson leaned in face-to-face with him in an unfamiliar environment, aclear signal that he needs space and time to feel safe before closephysical contact. The trainerdescribed him as a \\"normal dog\\" with a deep soul and a big heart whosimply needs a patient and caring guide. His compassionate trainers havekindly offered to support his future family with video or phoneconsultations. Together, George and Piper create a beautiful balance! Her joy liftshim, and his calm centers her. They nap together, play together, andfind comfort in each other's presence. If you've ever wondered what itfeels like to witness true companionship, look no further than these twogentle souls! Could your home be the place where George and Piper begin their nextchapter, side by side? \# \*\*\\*\* \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_
