A loyal two-year-old Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever/Shepherd mix currently in Medford, NJ, whose essence is a gentle burst of sunshine wrapped in a beautiful mostly black coat.
Weighing about 65 pounds, Lucy is the kind of companion who finds joy in life’s simple pleasures. Give her a sunny spot in the backyard, a comfortable deck to lounge on, and her cherished plush lamb, and she is perfectly content. While she enjoys a good walk and a chance to stretch her legs in a spacious yard, her favorite pastime is soaking up the sunshine and keeping close to the people she loves.
Lucy has received formal obedience training and is proudly mastering commands such as sit, place, down, stay, come, and heel. She walks nicely on a leash, comes when called, and settles comfortably
into her daily routine. During the day, she can relax on her own for six to seven hours, and at night she happily sleeps in her crate. She also enjoys car rides and loves being included in everyday adventures\!
This sweet girl is affectionate, medium energy, and wonderfully devoted. She forms strong bonds with her family and would gladly spend every moment by their side if she could. Lucy can be cautiously ex‐ cited when meeting new people, but her friendly nature shines through once she feels comfortable.
Because Lucy is sensitive to high-energy environments, she is searching for a calm, quiet home where she can relax. A rural setting with a large fenced yard would suit her beautifully. As she has matured, some of her Great Pyrenees herding instincts have started to emerge in her current busy household. When the children become rowdy or the energy level rises, Lucy may respond by growling and engag‐ ing in 'ball-herding' behaviors as she attempts to manage the excitement around her. Lucy would do well with adults or families with older children who can provide a more peaceful environment. She is not suitable for a home with young children or cats. With structure, patience, and a calm routine, Lucy's affectionate, easygoing personality shines\!
Lucy is spayed, microchipped, house-trained, fully vaccinated, and has no medical or dietary restric‐ tions. She is healthy, loved, and ready for her next chapter with a family who can appreciate her calm spirit, loyal heart, and sunbathing expertise.
